The Rosen Group was tasked with mobilizing a massive public relations effort to garner attention to Fast Company’s benchmark issue.


  • The Rosen Group organized an issue party, coinciding with the close of the Republican National Convention, at New York City institution, Elaine’s. Sen. John McCain, who penned the signature essay for the issue, was persuaded to attend, as were many other luminaries from New York City’s publishing and business community. The event was reported in The New York Times, New York Post, New York Daily News, New York Observer and Media Industry Newsletter, as well as Liz Smith’s nationally syndicated gossip column.

  • The Rosen Group packaged an opinion piece on “Courage” from renowned writer Pete Hamill that was picked up by the Los Angeles Times, Philadelphia Inquirer, Bergen Record and Hartford Courant

  • Fast Company’s list of the “Cowards of the Year” was sent to and reported on by Newsday, The Commercial Appeal, Tulsa World, Hartford Courant, and Metro NY.

  • The Results: The “Courage” Issue had the best newsstand sales of any Fast Company issue in 2004.
